MONTEZ JONES BIOGRAPHY

As the founder and CEO of TEZ JONES Training Solutions (TJTS), Montez trains and educates leaders, managers, employees, and non-profits on the benefits of leadership, effective communication, and better interpersonal relationships. He is an Executive Director with the Maxwell Leadership Team and a certified speaker, teacher, trainer, and coach. He is also an Independent ‘True Colors', DISC, and Emotional Intelligence consultant. He conducts workshops on Keys to Personal Success, stress management, resiliency, marriage/singles, and teambuilding, to name a few. He has a diverse portfolio of clients. He has facilitated workshops for the Dallas Fort Worth Federal Executive Board, the Mayor, the City of Vicksburg, Mississippi, Air Force Global Strike Command, U.S. Army’s Southern Regional Medical Command, The Potter’s House of Dallas, the County of Santa Barbara, California and the Fort Worth Army Corps of Engineers. He has provided keynote presentations for The Potter’s House of Dallas, Dallas Fort Worth Women’s Day Celebration, and Arlington Juneteenth Celebration held on Globe Life Field. Moreover, Montez has also facilitated John C. Maxwell Leadership training workshops throughout Joint Base San Antonio and Afghanistan. For his work, TEZ JONES Training Solutions was named one of the top 25 Black and Veteran Owned Businesses in Dallas, Fort Worth, in 2021 and 2022 and Businessman of the Year 2021 by the GSWBCC.

Montez Jones’ myriad of education, travels, and life experiences give him an exceptional understanding of varied personalities, leadership styles, team building, and communications types. That background is coupled with his formal education. As a lifelong learner, he earned a bachelor’s degree in human resources from Mount Olive College in Mount Olive, North Carolina, and an associate degree in Instructor of Military Science and Technology and Social Services from the Community College of the Air Force. Additionally, Montez completed his Master’s in Business Administration while simultaneously excelling as a career Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Officer. He is a certified DA EEO Counselor and a Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute (DEOMI) Academic Instructor School graduate. He is a certified Mediator along with being a Certified Diversity Professional. Lastly, he maintains an enrollment in the Maxwell Leadership University while being mentored by the Maxwell Leadership Team and John C. Maxwell himself.

Montez retired from the United States Air Force after 26 years of honorable service. As an active-duty military member, he held a variety of different positions, including Security Police, Equal Opportunity, Airman Leadership School Instructor, and Strategic Advisor for Air Education and Training Command, which contribute to his ongoing success. This helped to groom him to be a dynamic speaker and bring a wealth of knowledge and leadership to the table. His talents include extensive leadership in Diversity Management, Equal Employment Opportunity and Equal Opportunity, Teambuilding, Organizational Development, as well as Strategic Planning. Montez delivers interactive training workshops to a variety of organizations and personnel. He also provides leadership coaching and facilitation for seasoned and newer leaders and managers.  Montez offers practical solutions to real-life issues and challenges.
